BTW
Womans football is fine by me.. If girls at school want to play seriously.. Who can have a fucking problem with that.

I don't like the BBC nonsense..

ITS two bob time.. Doesn't deserve national coverage and all that

But that's not the ladies fault now is it.

Pleased for em.. Always pleased to see bods achieving.. Its uplifting

See I don't get that attitude.

Do you just not watch ANY female sport because they're not as strong or fast as men?

Re: Ironesses

It will never be anywhere near the level that would lead me to watching it, no matter how much money is spent.

They just aren't genetically good enough.

Lot of my mates daughters play football at grassroots and my son's club are increasing the goals team. I

I think it's great that the ladies have got to Wembley. Be a great day out. Shame it clashes with the blokes game, but I'll be off.

It was in part painful to watch yesterday, the amount time they gave the ball away, but the team I coach have played worse.

Wish them all the best, but I fear, the money bag Manc birds
Will be to strong.

Re: Ironesses
Well done ladies.

Womens football could be quite a good watch in a few years once they've had the benefit of billions of dollars being poured into their game, and a few generations of full-time professionalism.

You know, like mens football.

Re: Ironesses
I totally defend the right of Women to play football and make a career out of it but it's so poor to watch...it's so slow it's like watching it after a heavy dose of morphine or similar.

I think that Non-League Football at steps 6 and 7 could beat them comfortably.

...all power to their elbow if they can make a living doing something they love - just don't expect me to watch it!

Re: Ironesses
They may not be great compared to premiership teams in the FA cup, but they've got further than our 1st team did and we should encourage and back them......on miniscule wages compared to our players on more money a week than the majority of supporters. How many on here with opinions could last 10 minutes on the pitch against them?

Re: Ironesses
I noticed Alex Scott was a pundit for this afternoon's ladies game. She seems to be going from Sky to BT, to BBC week after week looking to give us all the benefit of her wisdom.
Couldn't we have that silly old fart Motson back please?

Re: Ironesses
the thing is with woman's football with the amount of girls playing from 6-18 years old now,the next 5-10years will see a huge rise in quality , there will be some very good players coming through, the wsl 2 standard now will be Sunday league level in 10.

Alfs 6:31 Sun Apr 14
Re: Ironesses
I watched the women's international against Spain and thought the standard was very good. After watching a bit of this semi-final they have a long way to go at club level.

Re: Ironesses
I think it’s appropriate that it’s on at the same time as the Southampton game.
People can make a choice ... FA Cup Final or a run of the mill meaningless home game.

Presumably the only ones at Wembley will be those sleeping with the players
